The other south facing Stanier '5MT' no.45407 “The Lancashire Fusilier" heads into Bury with the 14:26 train from Rawtenstall. It is usual for there to be any south facing locos, never mind two!

With 44871 and 45407 doing a run over the S&C this weekend, I wonder if they are both turned in this direction to be facing the correct way for it?
That would seem to be the most likely explanation.
