Empty Stock.
Submitted by vaughan on 26th May 2011
With a minimum of 14 on, this little 2-6-2T struggles to get an empty stock train back to the Birmingham area, in readiness for the commuter rush home to the posh outskirts of town.
She had just joined the down main line from the sidings at Dorridge on the ex GWR line from Paddington to Birmingham (Snow Hill) and points north.

Those Large Praries were sure footed and quite powerful! However 14 on or some 450 tons at 32tons tare each for corridor stock is a hefty load to start around those points of the carriage yard! An interesting photo of the steam era - 'I - Can - Do - It, I - CAN - DO - IT' she barks out! Phil H' Oz.
