The King in waiting

It's been a bit quiet on the 'western front' up in N. Wales so the opportunity of two mainline locos to Shrewsbury was not to be missed. (only a 250 mile round trip!!)Unfortunately the attempts at both between Craven Arms and Church Stretton with the locos working hard up the gradient, proved very disappointing and certainly not worthy of inclusion. However Shrewsbury proved a little more friutful and here is KE1 awaiting the call to depart from Coton Hill for the 4pm. departure back to Bristol T.M.

Hi Pete
I wondered what the big builders bags were doing there. Having now seen your picture of "Tornado" being coaled, I know what they are.
There’s always someone in a HiVis!
