Large GWR Praries at Bristol [2]
Submitted by Philip M. Hicks on 19th March 2011
Taken on 17 June 1958
Hello - another old photo for your perusal. We didn't get many 61xx tanks at Bristol in the late 1950's, so #6107 presence would have probably been as a replacement for one of 82A's 5101 Class tanks that was away for repairs at Swindon. She is standing on the middle road between platforms 3 and 4. the date of the photo could be plus or minus a year! My regards again, Phil H. Leura. Oz.

Hello Phil
Another great classic photo, I see there is another (what looks to be) light engine, possibly another tank engine? in the distance standing in front of the signals up by the coachs.
Regards Antnee
Ant - what you are looking at is the back of a standard Collett tender as seen on many of the large ex-GWR tender engines. The same as seen on the #3802 in recent post by Gerry I think. Phil H.
