Long Gone Railway.
Submitted by vaughan on 27th February 2011
This 1100 yard, 15 inch gauge railway closed in the early 1990's. It ran round the estate at Littlecote House, near Hungerford in Berkshire.
The steam locomotive they had was a 2-4-2 numbered 362 and named "Sydney", I believe she came from the Fairbourne Railway in Wales, and was previously named "Sian".
Warner Hotels bought the house and turned it into a holiday complex. The railway was deemed as not required, and taken up. Where the loco and rolling stock are now is not known to me.

Almost timeless, Vaughan - could be a working narrow gauge railway in the USA. Nice reflection in your B & W photo as well! Warner Hotels ! ' They know not what they do !' [ or somethong like that]. Regards, Phil H. Leura. Oz.
PS. I will copy and post some more photos soon, especially some Welsh narrow gauge. Phil H.
