I like the loco but what is the bloke in the red shirt doing? Phil H. Oz.

It's a demonstration of the turntable in action, goes back to a 1954 origin electric,and can even be operated by hand, quite easily by the demo!. The guy is giving a running commentary. www.nrm.org.uk shows the show so to speak! It has many leads on to it, can't remember how many though!

Beautiful loco in a fine museum. I always visit the museum whenever I am in that neck of the woods, which, unfortunately isn't often enough. I did manage a visit a while back, and will look to see if I have any photos worth posting.
