Oliver Cromwell at Blea Moor

In difficult conditions (for the photographer and locomotive!) Oliver Cromwell heads the Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express past a frozen Blea Moor bound for Carlisle.
Original intentions were to see 70013 coming off Ribblehead Viaduct, but with the hill fog and poor visibility I opted for a closer angle here.
The weather conditions were much more bearable today compared to last Saturday. It was cold, but there was far less wind chill.

Nice wintry stuff. New camera up to expectations? Result looks good to me. Keep it up.
Cheers

The Flickr post came up first ,but it looks just as good here, so again well done 10/10 for effort.
I should have been there but family health problems led to
cancellation of the S+C and the KWVR Gala, Maybe next time .
But the snow might be missing! Pete.
A great photograph in the winter conditions. ‘Oliver Cromwell’ appears to be working well as she climbs away from Blea Moor. I was at KWVR in similar weather, on Friday, but Saturday was a little better.

Great shot Ian. I thought that Vaughan and I had done well to walk the short distance that we did to get the picture of the King he posted. I take my hat off to you for undertaking the "yomp" you must have had to get your shot. I presume you were stood with your back to Whernside. Can't wait for July to get up on the S&C again.
Regards to all
Robbie
Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm crossing my fingers for some crisp clear winter days for the next two weekends.
