Having seen this engine about to take water at Appleby I pushed my luck and suggested we could catch it again at Kirky Stephen. Grumbles all round but I got my way.Here she is seen bursting out of the occupation bridge close to the station. Working well and the exhaust could be heard right up to Birkett Tunnel.

These water stops do give you chance to get the adrenaline going(with the anticipation of steam again (not the earache from the family!!)
