Tornado in the West

Tornado is seen heading west with just one carriage ready to haul the Help for Heros special. It was raining a goodun so I took this shot through a small gap in the car window. After 35 years as a "Milkie" I don't do rain anymore.
Regards to all and thanks to Andy for his advise on re-sizing pictures.

Nice one, I note we both use the same camera, as a matter of interest what lens do you use?
Cheers

Hi George V
Yes,I do use the Canon 500D and am very pleased with the results. Most of the time I use the 18-55 Canon lens that came with it but also have a Canon 70-300 which is the one used for Tornado. Not wound out too far as I was fairly close to the track. The only downside with lens is that it doesn't have image stabilisation so need a tripod or wall etc.
Kind Regards
Robbie

Much the same as I feel about the camera. I recently upgraded from a 350D, and am well pleased. I use the 18-55 IS and the 55-250 IS, but have just purchased a 28-105 II USM on e-bay for sensible money and after quite some research, that I'm finding is just the job for most use, and the USM is so quiet. The wide angles of the 18-55 was ideal in the NRM recently. I hasten to add that the camera is far superior than the geyser pointing it, and I have a lot to learn!
